What we offer We offer a vegetable bag scheme delivering organic vegetables grown in the market garden at Trill Farm to various towns and villages in the surrounding area. Each week a selection of produce grown by us (or supplemented with other local organic producers during the winter/spring) will be delivered to your door. What will be in the bags? The produce will vary from week to week but will always include a bag of our mixed salad leaves as well as at least one bag/bunch of greens, the rest will be a selection of whatever is best at that time of year, from tomatoes, cucumbers and beans in the summer, to spring onions, herbs and radish in the spring. You will get a good selection of what we have growing in the garden and hopefully won't get overloaded with too much of one thing. See below for an example of this weeks contents. To check out what will be in next weeks veg bags go to our box scheme ordering page. You are also able to add on extras to your order from our products page, so you can be a bit more picky if that suits you.
What is the minimum order? The smallest bag that you can order is a double salad (300g) or the salad and herb bag (150g salad plus 2 bunches of herbs) for £5.75 plus delivery. You can add on extras to this to make it a bit more bespoke. We also offer a medium veg bag at £13.80 and a large at £17.85 plus delivery. Will it be available all year round? We aim to run the veg bag scheme right through the year, but depending on the weather we may need to stop between early March and end of April as this is the time when we have very little produce available, and what we can get in from other producers locally to us is very limited too. By the end of April we start to have spring onions, spring garlic, radish and greens from our polytunnels and can fill the veg bags again. Can you choose the contents of your veg bag? We do not offer preferences in the bags just now, but make sure that we vary the contents a much as possible - especially during summer when we have lots of different produce from the garden. You can also add on extras to your order. For more details and to see whats available head to our ordering page.
What are the order options? We offer a few different sized bags of mixed seasonal vegetables, and you can add on extra items such as other produce that we have available from the market garden.
The bags are made up of seasonal produce, and will be all from the organic market garden at Trill from some time in May until around November time. We will buy in other produce from our friends at Shillingford Organics as well as South Devon Organic Producers/Riverford and Bishops Farm to supplement our own produce during winter and spring.
